Terms of service

The service

Tournix helps organizers create and manage tournaments, including participants, match formats, schedules, results and optional public live pages for supporters.

We may improve, change or discontinue parts of the service. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption.

Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country, to create an organizer account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Subscriptions and payment

Access to create and manage tournaments requires an active organizer subscription, currently €4 per month (prices may change; we will inform you before a change applies to your renewal).

New organizers may start with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription unless you have valid complimentary access (for example via a coupon).

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription via the billing page in the dashboard.

Unless required otherwise by mandatory law, fees are non-refundable for partial billing periods already started. If you cancel, access continues until the end of the current paid period.

Coupons and complimentary access

We may offer coupon codes that grant complimentary organizer access for a limited time. Coupons are personal, non-transferable unless stated otherwise, and may be subject to expiry or usage limits.

Abuse of coupon programmes (including sharing, reselling or automated redemption) may lead to revocation of access.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of tournament data and materials you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, display and process that content solely to provide the service (including on public live pages you enable).

You are responsible for:

• Having the right to use names, logos and other data you enter (including participant and team information)
• Complying with applicable laws, sports regulations and privacy obligations towards participants
• Deciding whether a tournament is published publicly and which information is shown on live pages
• Keeping backup copies of important data where needed

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, misleading or harmful purposes
• Upload malware or attempt to breach security or access other users’ data
• Overload or disrupt the platform
• Reverse engineer the service except where permitted by mandatory law
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications through our systems

Public live pages

When you enable a public live page, tournament information you choose to publish becomes accessible without login. You are solely responsible for that publication and for informing participants where required.

We may take a live page offline if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.

Intellectual property

Tournix, our branding, software and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our platform. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that schedules, standings or results are always accurate—organizers remain responsible for verifying tournament data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits, data loss or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for the subscription in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and cancel your subscription. We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the dashboard ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (such as liability limits and intellectual property) remain in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date above. If changes are material, we will notify you where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country give you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
